About

Hi! Our names are Ricky and Talia. We are an Irish-American couple who met each other while teaching/living in China and have spent every day together since. We decided in the middle of 2011 that we wanted to start travelling together and after months of planning and decisions, on the 7the of July 2012 we got on the road, and we've been travelling ever since.

That's pretty much who we are, but what are we about?

We are a couple, travelling for an extended amount of time. We left our home in China with the intention of travelling for as long as possible, hopefully a year or more, and experience as much as we can of every culture, society, food, sport and activity that we can get our hands on along the way. We plan on living cheaply but living larger than ever. We are not the average travelers; we get our hands dirty and get into the nitty gritty to experience the integral parts of south east Asian society so you don't have to.

What are we going to do?

Our plans have chopped and changed a lot and because of the nature of the area it is almost impossible to securely say what we will definitely be doing any further than a couple of months into the future. Our plans are large and guaranteed to be interesting.

We want to tell our story as we travel to a wide audience and tell our readers all about the best (and worst) parts of our trip. We plan on giving full disclosure on this blog and answering any questions that our readers have of any nature.

What makes us so special over any other travel blog?

What makes us so special? We are a couple in a foreign land on a tight budget. We plan on travelling for the foreseeable future and not stopping until funds run out. We are also very adventurous and happy-go-lucky and we like to seize the moment as much as possible.

We don't just plan on giving you prices, reviews and photos from distant lands. We want to offer a persona, contactability, fun stories and perhaps even travel ideas, tips, tricks and hints to our readers, all of which are completely up to the minute and given in a fun loving environment.

Over a year ago we were just two individuals, planning on taking a break in China. Now, we are two people with three stooges syndrome, stuck in the doorframe....

....with two feet out the door.
